De-Cluttering Tips: Lessons from My Garage Cleanup

De-Cluttering Tips: Lessons from My Garage Cleanup

Part of simplifying my life, we have been de-cluttering and organizing around our home. Since the weather was unusually warm for November, we decided that the garage was a good starting point.

Towards the end of the garage cleaning session, there were some indoor plant pots. They still had soil but were otherwise empty. I thought it was a wonderful idea to add the extra potting soil to my garden. So, I discarded the contents over the fence by my raspberry bush. That was about a week ago.

This morning, I spied some odd shiny items on the other side of my fence near my raspberry bushes. Oops! I forgot that the indoor plant containers had drainage rocks. I quickly sifted through the loose soil to gather up the rocks.

Lesson learned…no matter how tired you are. No matter how brilliant of the idea. You need to check your work!
