When my daughter asked for me to make my no bake cookies, how could I say no? Even at 9pm on a Saturday night. She had a long night ahead of her so thought I would practice my “Gram” skills on her. The added benefit was that my grandson would have a treat the next day.
These cookies are a favorite from my childhood. A few years ago, my cousin mentioned these were a favorite from the summers he spent with our grandmother. We would make them for a treat occasionally when he visited.
I don’t recall making them very often when my children were young. But my sister makes them when she needs a quick batch for sharing. Of course, my sister is amazing. Her freezer generally has at least six different types of bars and/or cookies at any given time!
These are not the most appetizing-looking cookie. But looks can be deceiving.
Enjoy!
