Winter Has Arrived

Winter Has Arrived

Winter has officially arrived to the Midwest today. This morning my phone weather app stated the temperature was 32 degrees but felt like 16 degrees. At that temperature when it is trying to rain, the drops are more like pellets than liquid raindrops. We were running around outside yesterday in long sleeved t-shirts grilling on the back deck!

For it being the end of November, this cold weather should be expected. Plus, it always seems to blizzard Thanksgiving weekend.

Really glad I wasn’t on the water fishing today! It would have been a frigid, rough ride in a boat.

Time to switch out the summer clothes to the warm winter sweaters and sweatshirts. Light jackets for heavy winter parkas. The sandals for muck boots and warm slippers.

As the seasons are changing, I plan to wake up each morning and remember the things I am thankful for…all those great blessings. Then I will jump out of my warm bed and hopefully have a better disposition to start the chilly day!

I made a remark like this to my family the other day: “Do we really have to do this winter thing again this year?”
